- IUAA Team: This Year the selection will be made with the following criteria in mind:
- Selection is based on the results of the IUAA Cross Country Championships at The University of Ulster, Jordanstown on Saturday 7th March 2009. Athletes are offered places on the team in order of placings in the championships. Where an athlete declines selection, a place on the team will be offered to the next placing athlete.
- Men's Team: 6 athletes, 4 to score. 10km.
- Women's Team: 6 athletes, 4 to score. 6km.
- The teams will be finalised as soon as possible after the IUAA Cross Country Championships and travel and other arrangements made for the teams.
